Bali’s Weather & Climate
Bali is located in the tropics, about 6 degrees south of the equator. It means that the sun rises at 6 am and sets at 6 pm most of the year. Bali has a tropical climate with an average temperature of around 30 degrees Celsius. With a tropical climate, that means you will only find dry and rainy seasons in Bali.
The dry season in Bali lasts from April to October. In this season, the weather tends to be hot and dry with an average temperature between 28-32 degrees Celsius. Low humidity and high temperatures make this season not very suitable for outdoor activities. However, it is a good season to holiday at the beach, enjoy the sun, and do various water activities such as swimming, snorkeling, and so on. The dry season is also a good season to visit tourist attractions in Bali because no rain will disturb your trip.
The rainy season in Bali usually lasts from November to April. This season, the weather in Bali tends to be more humid with more frequent rains and average temperatures between 25-28 degrees Celsius. However, the rain that falls this season is usually not too heavy and only lasts for a few hours. Even so, on certain days it can rain heavily and cause flooding in several areas in Bali. During this season, visitors should prepare a raincoat or umbrella when going outside. However, the rainy season does not prevent tourists from continuing to enjoy the beauty of Bali because there are still many activities that can be done such as visiting indoor tourist attractions, looking for souvenirs in the Seminyak shopping center, or tasting delicious Balinese culinary delights. Climate
As Bali is located just south of the equator and has a tropical climate, conditions are hot and humid all year round. The average temperature is around 32°C or 85°F, although it can get considerably cooler in the more mountainous regions, where it can reach as low as 10°C during the early hours of the morning. The island only has two seasons, wet and dry. The wet season is normally from November to April, and the dry season is from May to October. The dry season is categorized by a constant breeze blowing over the island, referred to during earlier centuries as the trade winds. During the rainy season, while there might be days when the rain never stops, for the most part showers are limited to an hour or two during the morning or afternoon, with the rest of the day being cloudy or sunny.
